TV & Film

I spent almost a decade working on the production and development of singles and series for all the major UK broadcasters, as well as feature documentaries and ‘real people’ commercial campaigns. Sensitive access and casting were my bread and butter for a long time, but history – particularly archive research – is my real passion. I’m a part-time PhD researcher, spending time at a wide range of archives and libraries looking for clues in sixteenth century manuscripts and books, but I’m equally confident working with contemporary archive material. I’ve sourced and cleared footage, photographs and newspaper content for projects ranging from blue-chip royal history series to true crime boxsets and current affairs singles, both as part of my role as AP/producer, and more recently as an archive researcher/producer.

I love joining projects at any stage of production, but being editorially minded I particularly enjoy working closely with producers, directors and writers early in a project’s life, using archival material and historical research to shape narrative arcs, adding depth and nuance to the team’s creative vision.
